Pueblo police investigated a reported pipe bomb near the Arkansas River kayak course. Officers determined a suspicious object reported by a walker on the trail beside the course between Fourth Street and Union Avenue was not an explosive, according to Capt. Tom Rummel.
Sgt. Steve Zittel of the police department's bomb squad inspected the object, and couldn't determine exactly what it was, but no explosives were found. Police suspect the suspicious object may have been a bicycle part.
